Description

The Second English Edition of the Second Book by Franz Bardon, The Practice of Magical Evocation.

Bardon, Franz. Dimal, Peter, trans. The Practice Of Magical Evocation. Dieter Ruggeberg Wuppertal. West Germany. 1970. Second English Edition.

A well-preserved copy of the second English edition of the second book by Czech occultist Franz Bardon, The Practice Of Magical Evocation, first published in German in 1956. The follow-up to his first book, Initiation into Hermetics, Bardon builds upon the foundations of spiritual and mental training outlined in the earlier text to instruct students in the art of summoning and commanding spirits as well as the construction of magic mirrors, fluid condensers, and temple spaces. The first English edition was published in 1967.

Bardon, who died in 1958, is also known for his third book The Key to the True Kabbalah, as well as a controversial fourth book, classified alternatively as Bardon’s biography or an occult novel, Frabato The Magician, written at least in part by his secretary Otti Votavova, which claimed, among other things, that Bardon was a reincarnation of Hermes Trismegistus.

Four copies of this edition found in OCLC as of January 2024.
