Description
Scarce Rosicrucian Reprint of Seership: Guide to Soul Sight by Paschal Beverly Randolph
Randolph, Paschal Beverly. Clymer, R. Swinburne, intro. Seership: Guide to Spirit Sight, A Practical Guide To Those Who Aspire To Develop The Vision Of The Soul, The Magic Mirror and How To Use It. The Confederate of Initiates. Beverly Hall. Quakertown, PA. 1930. First thus.
Scarce first edition of the Rosicrucian reissue of Seership by Paschal Beverley Randolph (1825 – 1875) free black spiritualist, trance medium, occultist, and sex magician, a guide to developing spirit sight as well as the construction and use of a magic mirror.
Controversial in his own era, Randolph’s unique occult theories may have faded if not for the interest (and editing) of later Rosicrucians, like Clymer, whose Quakertown, PA Rosicrucians published this work and (dubiously) claimed Randolph as their founder.
16 copies found in OCLC as of December 2024.
153pp + [2] index. Blue cloth boards with gilt décor to front and lettering to spine. Spine faded. Wear to edges and corners. Spotting and soiling to endpapers. Small worming back endpaper and pastedown. Portrait frontis. Pages toned, some foxing. Good.
