A unique history of Obersalzberg , Bavaria, tracking its growth from an 8th-century salt mining town into a 19th-century resort, before becoming the alpine playground for Hitler and the Nazi elite. Includes images and descriptions of various homes owned by Hitler in Obersalzberg , including his tea house, and the Kehlsteinhaus or “Eagle’s Nest” mountaintop house with detailed illustrations of its tunnel and elevator system as well as the shared bunker systems which connected the various Nazi construction projects.
