First edition of an important Lovecraftian anthology New Tales of the Cthulhu Mythos edited by Ramsey Campbell and featuring work from Campbell, TED Klein, A.A. Attanasio, Brian Lumley, and Stephen King’s first Cthulhu mythos story. The book also features a posthumous collaboration between H.P. Lovecraft and Martin S Warnes, “The Black Tome Of Alsophocus” based on Lovecraft’s unfinished 1933 short story, “The Book”.
New Tales of the Cthulhu Mythos is also notable as the first Arkham House book to be issued in stated editions. Following this first edition of 3647 copies, a second edition was printed in 1982.

Pages toned but clean. Original dustjacket toned with some corner wear and an interior stain to lower spine. Very good.
