First edition, second printing of Living In An Insane World, selections from the writings and lectures of Jiddhu Krishnamurti, the philosopher and spiritual leader determined as a child to be the messianic world teacher Maitreya by Theosophists Annie Besant and CW Leadbeater. Krishnamurti would go on to reject the labels of his patrons, dissolving the Order of the Star which had been set up for him, but would continue to teach on spiritual topics emphasizing the importance of individual inquiry and self-discovery rather than relying on external authorities or organizations.
