Limited edition release of Le Chat Botte, Puss In Boots, illustrated by Swiss Painter Hans Fischer (1909 – 58), the creator of children’s book Pitschi, who was also known as “Fis”.
A popular fairy tale since its original publication in Perrault’s 1697 collection Histoires ou contes du temps passé: avec des moralitez, this limited edition is one of 270 copies signed by the publisher Pierre Gonin, and one of the 235 examples printed on Rives vellum paper.

4to. 60 unbound, unnumbered sheets in blue craft paper wraps as issued. Text and pages clean. Numbered 73 of 270 and signed by publisher on colophon. Profusely illustrated. Original slipcase with wear to edges and some soiling to boards and spine. Near fine in very good.
