Self-published pamphlet consisting of an advertisement and article by the eccentric creator of Coral Castle in Homestead, Florida Edward Leedskalnin, who moved to the United States from Latvia to live as a hermit after being jilted by his 16-year-old fiancé. He spent the rest of his life quarrying and building today’s Coral Castle—built entirely from coral rock—as his home and workshop, including accommodations for a wife and child although he never married.
This reprinted extract from an advertisement placed by Leedskalnin to interest people in his pamphlets on Magnetic Current and Mineral, Animal, and Vegetable Life make bold claims about the failures of scientists to grasp the true nature of magnets and electricity and dismissing atomic theory. Among other things, Leedskalnin purports to be able to explain radioactivity and the destructive power of uranium through magnetism.
