Led by Father Yod, born James Baker (1922 – 1975), whose teachings combined western esotericism, kabbalah, kundalini yoga, the group is best remembered for its once iconic popular vegetarian restaurant The Source Restaurant (featured in Annie Hall) as well as the psychedelic rock albums produced by the group’s band known as Yahowa-13 under various other names.
