First Edition Rare Modern Guide To Ecstatic Ritual Dance Ecstasia Written By Julia R Zay Published By Megalithica Books

Zay, Julia R. Ecstasia: An Introduction to Transcendental Music and Dance. Megalithica Books. Stafford, England. 2008. First Edition.

Ecstasia by Julia R Zay offers a description of the theory and practice of ecstatic trance through music and dance informed by classical rituals and the author’s personal experiences. Focusing on the induction of hypnotic and altered states (including brain wave designations) for raising and communing with spirits and gods, Zay distinguishes between ecstatic possession states, the raising of energies for magical healing and evocation, as well as the performance of social-spiritual rituals connected to death, birth, and initiation. The text also includes outlines for various rituals including food and hosting suggestions as well as dance steps with photographs. Publisher Megalithica Books is the occult imprint of Immanion Press, arguably best known  for publishing the works of Taylor Elwood. No reissues, subsequent editions, or digital releases of this book have been released.
