A published version of a Colorado seminar provided by controversial Tibetan meditation teacher and Shambhala Buddhism “Crazy Wisdom” founder Chogyam Trungpa (1939 – 1987) offering insights on the ancient Buddhist psychology manual, the Abhidharma, a collection of scriptures dealing with states of mind and consciousness. Born in Tibet, Trungpa, the purported 11th Trungpa tulku, was one of the most influential teachers of Vajrayana in the Western world until his death in 1987 attributable to his long term alcoholism. The publisher, Vajradhatu was the original name of Trungpa’s organization until 1990 when his successors adopted the name Shambhala International.
