About Ellipsis Rare Books
Founded by Andrew Lenoir in East Hampton, NY in 2019, Ellipsis Rare Books specializes in rare, out-of-print, unique, and unusual books and ephemera pertaining to weird fiction, unusual history, counterculture, quackery, occultism, spiritualism, and alternative spirituality.
Every item we sell has a story and it is our pleasure to discover and share them with our customers. Curators and cultural custodians in addition to collectors, we pride ourselves on participating in the ongoing preservation of understudied and underappreciated movements, moments, and texts. As we sometimes “joke”, we are in the business of buying and selling evidence.
In 2022, Ellipsis Rare Books was accepted into the International Online Booksellers’ Association (IOBA).
